Joshua Abel

Interest Rate Derivatives Trading Support, Commerzbank AG

Joshua was born and raised in sunny San Jose, California.  He currently works in a 12-18 month rotation training program at the New York branch office of Commerzbank AG, the second-largest German bank.

Prior to banking his way through New York, Joshua received his Masters in International Trade and Business from the Elliott School of International Affairs at the George Washington University in Washington, DC.  At the same time, he also worked in various government organizations and businesses in DC who specialize in advising and supporting energy and infrastructure projects throughout the world, especially in developing nations.  Some of the projects that he worked on include one of the largest oil refineries in the world in India, housing developments in Iraq and a port development project in Jordan.

Joshua completed his college education at the University of California, San Diego, and during that time he studied economics and history at the University of Toulouse, France for an entire year which is where he developed his initiative to travel and work internationally.
