Sivan Kovnator
Sivan Kovnator's background is in print, new media, and television. Through her various roles at Consumer Reports-- New Media Intern, New Media Assistant, Television Administrator, and Assistant Producer-- she has found a new avenue to pursue: marketing. Specifically, Sivan proposed two solution-based, marketing campaigns that addressed the challenges of reaching a younger demographic to senior leadership. This confirmed her strengths in branding, integrated and experiential marketing. More importantly, her ability to connect with targeted audiences through 360-degree programs.
She graduated summa cum laude from the University of California, Davis in 2007 with a B.A. in American Studies and minor in Women and Gender Studies. While there, she completed an honors thesis on advertising and womens magazines in the twentieth century. As part of her project, she organized and led two focus groups to research what women desire in their ideal magazine, how women interact with this material, and if current media products meet their needs. Sivan presented her thesis findings in the Undergraduate Research Conference. She also served as a Research Assistant for a distinguished Professor where she analyzed the marketing of artificial sweetners to women over a thirty-year span in print media.
Sivan volunteers for Inside Beauty and is a member of Step Up Women's Network, as well as three honor societies. She was raised in Southern California.
