Caroline Lagnado

With her strong interest in the arts, culture, and writing, Caroline Lagnado is pleased to be a Shapiro Fellow focusing on these topics in Israel. A native New Yorker, Caroline graduated from Tufts University and is currently a graduate student in Art History at the City University of New York. In addition to previous trips to Israel, Caroline has traveled to Europe and India and has studied in Montreal and Florence. She has held a number of arts and journalism positions, and is currently an independent writer on art. Some of her articles and academic research have explored both Jewish and Israeli identity. Caroline is eager to explore her Ashkenazi and Sephardi roots as well as the Israeli art scene this summer.
