Wendy Paler
Assistant Director of the NYU Graduate Programs in Education and Jewish Studies
Wendy Paler was born and raised in the suburbs of Milwaukee, WI, where she was active in the local Jewish community. While pursuing her BA in Economics at the University of Wisconsin-Madison, she continued to explore Jewish leadership through her involvement at Hillel. She participated in and led various programs within Hillel, including the First Year Integration Program, which was designed to welcome incoming Jewish students to Hillel and to the university as a whole.
Wendy has worked in finance as well as in various Jewish organizations. In the Summer of 2009 she began a full-time position as the Assistant Director of Administration for the NYU Steinhardt-Skirball Graduate Programs in Education and Jewish Studies. Prior to her current position, she served as the Student Coordinator for the New York University Wagner-Skirball Dual-Degree Program, as the Institutional Advancement Intern at JESNA in New York, and as the Assistant Director for Wisconsin Region BBYO, an international organization for Jewish teens.
A Wexner Fellow/Davidson Scholar, Wendy graduated from NYU in May of 2010 with an MPA in Management and Finance from the Wagner School of Public Service as well as an MA in Hebrew and Judaic Studies from the Skirball Department. In her free time, Wendy enjoys taking advantage of New York’s arts and culture scene, cooking and trying new restaurants, reading, traveling, and practicing yoga.
